Dundrum    August 29th   2021

Members and prospective members from all over the country are welcome to join our information day and farm walk on farm of Tom McDonald, Dundrum, Co. Tipperary.
The meeting is not limited to Munster people and as it is centrally
located it may suit people who have not had the chance to avail of other meetings.

And after the Meeting………

The society acknowledges the huge effort put in by Tom and Mary McDonald in hosting the most recent information meeting for members of the society. Mary and her friends had prepared quite a spread of fresh food which included hot tea and soup. Many members submitted to taking the soup.

Tom had arranged a spacious arena with seating for the meeting.

Chairman, Sean Flannery opened the meeting and asked those present to give their names and location. The administrator of the herd book, Lesley Sandes gave an update of membership and the extent of the national herd.

Shane Hennessey, an agricultural advisor and consultant in Tipperary, gave a very informative explanation of proposals in the forthcoming  CAP. Several other topics were debated by attendees and committee. A more comprehensive outline of proceedings will be distributed to members.
