Point of clarification from DAFM.
Breeding females that produce a registered offspring above the basic eligibility requirements will be paid an additional payment of €75 per progeny registered up to overall maximum payment ceiling.
The above payment is paid on animals born that are not included in the basic requirement.
The basic requirement is that each animal you apply for has one registered birth within the 5 years of the ACRES scheme.
Every registered or birth notified birth above this basic criteria is eligible for the €75 payment up to a max of €7,300 ceiling.
If you have 30 livestock units with 30 calves in year 1, you get paid €200 for 20 LU — €4,000 + 10 calves ´€75 —– €4,750.
In yr. 2, 3, 4, and 5 you get €4,000 + 30 calves @ €75. Total €6,250.
If you have 10 LU. and have 10 calves you get €2,000 in yr. 1. (€200 x 10)
In yr. 2, 3, 4, and 5 you get €2,000 + 10 calves @ €75. Total €2,750
In summary the €75 payment per calf applies after each animal applied for has produced a registered or birth notified calf.
